Love is becoming Over-rated
People now adays, expecially teens are throwing the word love around like its nothing but a saying of affection. Though love is filled with affection, one does not deserve the word if you have only know them for a week or two. I grew up learning that love is something uncontrolable, unexpected, unforgetable, and unbreakable. Its something more powerful than all of us. The one you love, is the person that you adore their every flaw, and their every molecule of themselves, you would die for this person, you care about their well being more than your own. And i honestly doubt that you would give your life for someone that you just met. Yes i do believe in love at first sight, sometimes on occasions when you meet someone, you just know your souls are entwined immediatly. But i dont know how commen that is, I see people that say I love you so fast, and then they leave that person the next day, bad mouthing them like they meant nothing. That was never love, even if you seperate from your them, you would never shred a word of hate, or meanness toward them. You will love them unconditionally and never lose the way you feel. Thats what love is to me at least.

Penn State
After reading the Penn State case involving the Officials who covered up alleged sex abuse, I can honestly say that the article angered me deeply. Knowing all of the things this "coach" had done to the kids that probably once looked up to him sickens me to the core. The kids were between the ages of 10-16, which is a very common age for the sex abusers. The advisers that were warned of the things that the assistant coach had seen, brushed away the words like it was nothing, probably for the protection of the "prized" coach. Now they are being charged with perjury, as they rightly should be. I also believe the coach should be sentenced no matter how much money is offered, for a life in the terrible hole of a prison cell. "The children are scarred for life," Police Commissioner of Pennsylvania State Frank Noonan said. These children were very young of age, they were just beginning their life, and now they will live with the haunting memories that this sick man had plagued upon them. He found his victims through a charity he founded, The Second Mile, and he would take them to games, and invite them into his home for nights. "I think you have the moral responsibility, anyone. Not whether you're a football coach or a university president or the guy sweeping the building. I think you have a moral responsibility to call us" replied Noonan. These words are quite true for all people. The officials that didn't go to the police or any other advised place were many times released and reentered into custody for their dastardly deeds. To think that they thought what they was doing was right and just, is completely unacceptable to greatest amount. The man charged for these acts, Sandusky, should be entered into a prison and sentenced to a number of years in prison. No matter the terrible decisions of the officials, the university is paying legal costs for them. All the people who did wrong in this case should very much be put under supervision in the custody of the jail house.

Sports Feature
Bobby Moegle, the coach at Monterey High School, is making his mark in baseball coach history. He was inducted for his great work into the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Honor in 1988, and also in 1989. He was even named Texas Coach of the year in 1972, and in 1974. This man is pulling through with great strength, and is getting immense credit for his many and growing wins.
On August 1, 1959 he came to Lubbock. “I had never been here before, but I was ready to enter the coaching ranks.” Bobby Moegle said. Beginning to grow close to these new kids was quite easy. “I inherited kids with talent,” Moegle says, “The 1974 team was the best team I’ve ever had.” Wins began to come back to back over the course of the season. “They won thirty straight games on the way to the title.” Moegle claims. The great chemistry of the new coach and his team was outstanding. There was great appreciation for Bobby Moegle. “The 1967 and 1991 teams have been my biggest surprise in terms of winning beyond what I thought was possible,” Moegle says. He stayed on at one school for 32 years, which in coaching is almost unheard of, “Lubbock became home”, replies Moegle, “it will always be home.” Allan Wolf, the pitcher on Moegle’s team, told great words of his beloved coach. “Coach Moegle inspired us to work hard and to live up to our potential” says Wolf. Moegle is a coach that doesn’t play around he believes that if your having fun practicing then you’re probably not practicing, though he knew when it was time to have fun as a team. Winning their fourth consecutive district put the team and the coach in high spirits, “was the icing on the cake.” This coach will stay strong.
